Nubhan Spares

A wholesale motorcycle parts business does not sell at a single price to a single kind of customer — so the store had to know who was logged in before it showed a number.

The Client

Nubhan Spares is a UK wholesale distributor of premium motorcycle parts. Its customers are trade buyers — workshops, dealers and resellers ordering in volume — not consumers buying a single brake pad.

That changes the problem completely. A public storefront shows one price to everybody. A wholesale operation runs trade pricing that should not be visible to the open market, and buyers who need to confirm a part fits a specific bike before they will commit to a box of them.

The Brief

Build a catalogue that behaves as a trade portal rather than a shopfront: approved wholesale accounts see wholesale pricing, everyone else does not.

Solve fitment. In motorcycle parts, the make, model and year of the bike is the search — a buyer does not know the SKU, they know they need a part for a 2015 R1. Getting this wrong means returns, which in wholesale means freight both ways.

And replace the quoting that was happening over email with something the customer could initiate themselves and then track.

What We Built.

Role-aware pricing

Every product carries both a retail and a wholesale price, and accounts are typed as admin or wholesaler. Trade pricing only resolves for an approved wholesale login, so the margin structure never leaks to the public catalogue.

Bike-fitment search

A dedicated bike database of make, model and year range, with products linked to the bikes they actually fit. Buyers filter by their machine instead of guessing from a part number, which is the single biggest cause of wholesale returns.

Quote-to-invoice workflow

Cart contents become a quote request rather than a card payment — correct for volume orders where freight and availability get confirmed before money moves. Each quote is stored against the account and downloadable as a branded PDF invoice.

Full catalogue management

Products with image galleries, stock levels, availability states and promotional badges, organised across categories, subcategories and brands — all editable by the client without a developer.

Admin back office

Purpose-built managers for products, categories, brands, the bike database, orders, members, promotions and homepage banners, so the catalogue is genuinely owned by the business rather than maintained on request.

Automated sales notifications

A Cloud Function fires an email to the sales team the moment a quote request lands, so an enquiry never waits on somebody remembering to check a dashboard.
