Software That Fits
Your Business.
At some point every growing business hits the limit of spreadsheets and off-the-shelf tools. The workflow that made sense at ten staff becomes twenty tabs and a weekly reconciliation nobody wants to own. Custom software works the way your business actually operates, instead of forcing your business to operate the way a generic product expects.
We build two kinds of things: SaaS products you intend to sell, and internal tools that make your own operation faster. Both get the same engineering standard — proper architecture, real security, and infrastructure that does not fall over when usage grows.

When should a business build custom software instead of buying off-the-shelf?
Custom software makes sense when your workflow has requirements generic products cannot model — unusual pricing, product configuration, approvals or fulfilment logic — or when licence costs and manual workarounds exceed the cost of building. Designie, a Sydney studio, builds SaaS platforms and internal tools including CRMs, ERPs and inventory systems. You own the code and the data.
Why It Works
Total Automation
Eliminate manual data entry and repetitive tasks. Custom software works exactly how your business operates, not the other way around.
Infinite Scalability
Built on modern cloud infrastructure that grows from a hundred to a million users without a rewrite.
Enterprise Security
Encryption, role-based access control and a compliance-ready architecture designed in from day one rather than retrofitted.
Data Ownership
Stop renting your data to third-party tools. Own your platform, your analytics and your customer relationships outright.
SaaS Product Development
If you have an idea for a software product, the hard part is rarely the idea — it is the two hundred decisions between the idea and a system that can take a paying customer. We handle the full technical lifecycle: architecture, multi-tenant data design, subscription billing, user management, permissions, and the deployment and monitoring setup that keeps it running. We would rather build a focused first version that real users can pay for than a sprawling feature list that never ships.
- Multi-tenant architecture and database design
- Subscription billing and payment gateway integration
- Complex user roles and permissions
- API development with documentation
Internal Business Tools
Stop running a serious business on messy spreadsheets. We build custom CRMs, ERPs and inventory systems that map to your actual operational workflow — the exceptions and edge cases included, which is exactly where generic software falls down. The return here is usually straightforward to calculate: hours of manual work per month that stop happening, and a category of human error that disappears.
- Custom CRM and ERP systems
- Inventory and supply chain tracking
- Automated reporting dashboards
- Legacy system modernisation
Engineering Standards, Not Prototypes
Plenty of custom software gets built as a prototype and then quietly promoted to production, where it becomes a liability nobody wants to touch. We build for the maintenance phase from the start: typed code, sensible structure, automated deployment, error monitoring and documentation. You end up with a system your next developer can pick up, whether that is us or someone else.

Common Questions
How much does custom software cost?
Custom software is scoped per project, and the honest answer is that it depends heavily on complexity. The best first step is a discovery conversation where we map the workflow you want to replace and identify the smallest version that delivers real value. That gives us both a number worth trusting.
Do I own the code?
Yes. You own the platform, the code and the data. It is deployed to infrastructure in your name, so you are never locked into us to keep your own system running.
Can you work with our existing systems?
Usually, yes. Most projects involve integrating with something that already exists — accounting software, a legacy database, a supplier feed. Where an API exists we use it; where one does not, we find another route.
What are your payment terms?
We typically require a 50% deposit to start the project and secure your slot in our schedule. The remaining 50% is due when the work is complete and you are happy with it.
