Questions
Everything you need to know about our process, pricing, and services.
Process & Timeline
Typically, a custom website takes between 2 to 6 weeks. This depends on the size of the project. A simple landing page can be done in a week, while a large e-commerce site might take a month. We move fast without sacrificing quality.
We follow a 4-step process: Discovery (learning about you), Design (creating the visual style), Development (coding the site), and Launch (testing and going live). You are involved at every step to ensure the vision matches yours.
Services & Features
Yes! We can provide professional copywriting services. We believe that words are part of the design. We will interview you to learn about your business and write text that sells.
Absolutely. We design 'Mobile First'. This means your website will look perfect and load instantly on iPhones, Androids, tablets, and desktops. No exceptions.
Yes. We can keep your existing content and move it to a modern, faster, and better-looking platform, or we can start from scratch for a complete rebrand.
Engineering Consultancy Web Apps
Yes — it is a specialism, and Designie is run by a project manager and engineer working in the engineering consultancy industry. We build one platform covering timesheets, projects and fee budgets, clients and tenders, invoicing and progress claims, leave, multi-level approvals, expense claims, document registers, pool vehicle and equipment bookings, and compliance records. See our Engineering Web Apps service page for the full module list.
That is usually the point of building one. Instead of paying per user per month across several tools that do not talk to each other, you get a single system where a job number is entered once and follows the work through to the invoice. We start with the module causing the most pain — usually timesheets — and extend from there, so nothing is replaced before its replacement is proven.
Yes. You own the code, the data and the hosting, all set up in your firm's name. There is no per-seat licence, so adding staff does not increase what you pay, and you are never locked in to us to keep your own system running.
AI Adoption
Yes — it's one of our core services. We start with an AI readiness assessment: we map where your time actually goes, work out which of it AI can do reliably today, and rank the options by hours saved, risk and effort. Then we build the winning use case into the systems your team already uses, train your staff, and set the governance around data handling and human review. See our AI Adoption page for the full approach.
We run discovery workshops on site across Greater Sydney — the CBD, Inner West, North Shore, Northern Beaches, Eastern Suburbs, Parramatta and Western Sydney, the Hills and the Sutherland Shire. Everything after that works just as well remotely, so we take on clients across NSW and the rest of Australia. Either way we work Australian Eastern Time, so you're not waiting overnight for a reply.
We use business and enterprise tiers where the provider contractually does not train on your data, scope exactly what the system can reach, and can keep data on Australian-hosted infrastructure where that matters. The rules get written into an AI usage policy covering the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, so they're documented rather than assumed.
Support & Maintenance
We build your site so it's easy for you to edit text and images yourself. We also offer ongoing support packages if you'd prefer us to handle the technical updates for you.
Yes. Every site we build includes technical SEO foundations. We ensure Google can read your site, your images are optimized, and your pages load fast—all key factors for ranking high.
We help you set up hosting with top-tier providers like Vercel, Netlify, or AWS. You own your hosting account, so you have full control, but we handle the technical setup.
Pricing & Payments
Every project is unique. A small landing page costs less than a full corporate platform. Contact us for a free quote—we offer packages to suit various budgets starting from affordable entry-level sites to premium custom experiences.
We typically require a 50% deposit to start the project and secure your slot in our schedule. The remaining 50% is due only when the website is complete and you are happy with it, just before launch.
