A parish office runs on paper: registration forms, baptism records, catechism enrolments, giving. The website had to take that administration online without asking volunteers to become software users.

The Client
The Syriac Catholic Church serves communities in Sydney and Canberra. Its liturgical language is Syriac — a dialect of Aramaic, the language spoken by Christ and the Apostles — and preserving that heritage is central to the parish's identity, not incidental to it.
A parish website therefore carries an unusual double load. It is the practical front desk for mass times, events and enrolments, and it is also the place where a community's history, faith and language are explained to people encountering it for the first time.
The Brief
Give the parish one place that answers the questions people actually arrive with — when is mass, where are you, what is on this week, how do I enrol my child — without burying them under institutional copy.
Move the paperwork online. Family registration, baptism applications, catechism enrolment and regular giving were all running on printed forms that had to be collected, read and re-entered by hand.
And do it so the parish office can run the site itself. A church cannot call a developer every time a mass time changes or an event is added.
What We Built.
The practical parish pages
Mass times, a full events calendar with a detail page per event, ministries with their own pages, and clergy and leadership profiles — the everyday information that makes up most of a parish site's traffic.
Heritage and identity sections
Dedicated pages for the parish's history, its faith, and the Syriac language itself, explaining the Aramaic liturgical tradition to newcomers and second-generation families alike.
Four online forms replacing paper
Family registration, baptism applications, catechism enrolment and a direct debit / card authorisation form, each submitting straight into the parish's records instead of into a filing cabinet.
A liturgical calendar
A managed calendar of feasts and liturgical seasons surfaced on the homepage, so the site reflects where the church actually is in its year rather than sitting static between updates.
Parish admin system
A back office with separate views for families, baptism applications, catechism enrolments, direct debit authorisations and contact messages, plus managers for events and the liturgical calendar. Submissions arrive as records the office can work through, not as an inbox.
Online giving
A donate pathway alongside the recurring-giving authorisation form, so both one-off and ongoing support are handled through the site.
